Description

The baby version of Garfield from the upcoming moving. This is from the part in the trailer where Jon meets Garfield for the first time and asks him “you hungry little guy?”

Prints in place with no supports. Profile is set up to purge to infill with prime tower disabled, with a flushing volume multiplier of .6, I have found this to provide good print quality with least amount of waste. Printed on my A1 mini at .2 mm layer height which keeps the print time down. If you have more than 1 AMS you may want to print his snout yellow or a lighter shade of orange (fill bucket with edge detect turned off).

Super cute model! When sliced I see the black areas reaching towards the center - is this the byproduct of "flush into infill"? I am asking because this seems to increase print time.

yea flush into infill could be whats causing that. I don't tend to use that on my newer models, but I think its supposed to help cut down on waste. I also always print with a prime tower now that I understand what its for, just decrease the size of it from defaults a little

I think it's actually just a part of the painting in BambuStudio. It helps the colored parts stick to the rest of the model by increasing the surface area that is "melted" together. Butt joints like where filament meets on the same level do not make strong bonds and can be knocked apart with a little bit of force. The main strength is achieved by layer adhesion.

how do you get the top so smooth? i am using X1C, I did the adaptive layering, not sure if did it right but clicked on adaptive then clicked on smooth, didnt play with anything else, not sure why your pictures look amazingly smooth vs mine?

Actually I first changed the size to 200% then changed it to 50%, maybe that’s why but did you do anything special in the settings which is not captured in the 3MF file?

What size are you printing him? This was one of my first prints on my A1 mini before I even knew what adaptive layers was, I think I used mostly default settings on everything. But it looks like you might be printing him at a reduced size.

that may be, I think I made it large first then made it small but maybe smaller than original size. I will try again. :)

Me Super encantó muy buena calidad de impresión y parámetros para su impresión. Eso sí tarda mucho y tiene mucho desperdicio hay que tenerlo en cuenta. Pero en si es algo bello.
