Newmar coach (RV) cargo door spacers
Print Profile(2)

Description
A friend of mine has a Newmar coach and it has had problems with the hinge pins and spacers dropping the height of the door about 4" which breaks the latches and other parts if you try to close it… This is a simple fix. I used PETG-CF to make these spacers but I think since they almost never see daylight PLA should be quite sufficient, expecially since PLA has higher compression limits.
I made two designs, one that re-uses the white spacer below the shoulder spacer, and a tall one that is a one piece replacement for the shoulder spacer and the white part in the photo. The only differences are the short spacer re-uses the white spacer part, while the tall spacer replaces the shoulder spacer and the white spacer part with a single 3d printed part. It takes much more filament to do the tall ones but is easier to install one part compared to keeping the two parts in alignment while replacing the hinge pin.
The purple part is the shoulder spacer, and it happens to be purple because that's what I had at the time. If you use the short shoulder spacers and the spacer cylinder below is white, you may want to print it in white. I've seen some coaches with overspray on the hinge parts so they can be whatever color your coach is painted.
I upped the wall count to 6 so the spacers are just about solid filament, since the parts are under compression and I didn't want to have a failure.
The only problem is if your printer isn't dimensionally accurate, you may have to ream or drill out the center hole to about 10mm.
