Description

CapCut - tethered cap cutter

 

CapCut makes removing attached caps from PET bottles simple, quick, and clean. Designed for common bottle sizes, it offers precise cuts at the perfect height and depth for smooth separation. Ideal for everyday use, it’s a practical solution for anyone dealing with PET bottles.

 

Required Tools

 In addition to the printed parts, you will need the following tools:

  • Utility knife blade (~ 8mm width)
  • Ballpoint pen spring
  • Some super glue

Measure the Knife

Different manufacturers offer utility knives with a blade width of 8mm. The exact dimensions can vary slightly between manufacturers. Measure the blade as accurately as possible in length and width, as shown in the image below.

 

The upload contains several models for different knife sizes. Choose the one that matches your knife based on the table below.

Printing Orientation:

Assembly

The assembly is simple and quick.

First, glue the blade into the handle with some super glue.

Place the handle into the bottom piece.

Insert the pen spring into the designated slot. The spring should be under slight tension during installation.

Finally, press the cover on. Start at the outer edge and press the cover all around.
