Description

Sling some shot with my OTT(over the top) catapult design!
Spent a considerable amount of time refining the fit and finish, would love to hear some feedback.

3MF. consists of variable infill density to ensure a good strength to weight/material ratio.

Prints in 2 hours.

Had fun designing this one, so if you enjoy slingshots, give me a follow as I'll likely make a V2.

cool just be careful with the pla silk it looks great but it is quite weak and it is also smooth which might cause some problems with the elastic mounting system

It was a complete disaster. I've printed ABS projects before and have never experienced anything like this. Half an hour of cleaning and the exhaust fan is slightly damaged

Sorry to hear, I haven't tried this print with ABS. More care has to be taken to avoid warpage. May have to add a brim

Replying to @Bombastic3D :
This project is really cool, although there might be an issue with ABS, heating the bed, etc I will try printing with PLA and see how it goes

It feels great!! It pulls smoothly! But I haven't tried it outside yet, so for now I'll just admire it as a display item!!

I printed the Slingshot in PETG. A 1mm natural latex rubber is mounted, which it withstands without any problems. Nice design, I like it a lot

overall great design and comfortable shape. had a couple of extruder errors during the build on a P2S. not sure if others on a P2S are experiencing it as well.

Nice build overall. Feels nice in the hand for a canted shot choked up on the fork. on another note... I'm new to 3D printing. This was my first print with a new P2S after benchy. Stock 0.4mm hotend and basic PLA. Had trouble with the print due to extruder/ filament error. Two tries and around a half dozen stops due to extruder error to cut and pull the filament from the hot end in the one build. first attempt only got a few slices printed before the error and stopping the job because it was too late at night to troubleshoot a new appliance. Today's second attempt stopped halfway and then a few times after that. I got really good at removing the hot end to clean it and clear the error message. If anyone else has a P2S, is this happening to you to? will be trying future projects with different hotends. hoping for easier success.
