Description

You will need :

  • 16x 10mmx10mm magnets
  • 6x arms
  • 6x arm bases
  • 2x heads (happy and angry)
  • 2x middles
  • 2x bottoms
  • 9x pins

Newer version of Hiro's bot , entirely redraw from scratch, here are the changes :

  • Switch from 9x5 magnets to 10x10 magnets (parametric model, so I can easily rebuild stl files for different sizes of magnet)
  • Improved connectors
  • Added both happy and angry faces, you will need black, white, yellow and red filaments

I printed and tested it with PETG, it works great

I provide the 3mf file with all parts to print, variable layer height

I added a drop of glue on every magnets to prevent them to make noise when shaking, and also on splitted parts to assemble it permanently

Tips :

Assembling the bodies parts can be tricky with the magnets, use masking tape to hold them during assembly, and remove it at the end before to close it.

Magnets assembly guide :

This is a little guide to help with the magnets directions :

the print came out nice but there is NO WAY a 10x10 round magnet fits in here. could you please check the length of your magnets. I’ve attached a photo of a 5x10 mm magnet. the length of the magnet is 10 mm. Please explain how that would fit. everyone who completed theirs, what magnets did you use?

Im trying to do better with making things that are usable and had the idea to make this into a fridge magnet. The body and head were easy because the magnets slip in the peg holes. the arms and legs were a little more difficult. I used fusion 360 to join the two parts then split them. then I had to add the hole for the magnet.

fun bit print.if the face could have the red and yellow be separated it would print faster and have less poop. then have them pop on like a mask would be amazing, as you could print other colors and exchange them. I changed the head 13x13 to body 10x10 magnet to now the head is very strong and you can play with it without it falling apart.
