Description
UPDATE EDIT 2/20/2025 since one person chipped their claw/arm removing it. DO NOT follow the Bambu Wiki on removing the claws linked here. You may damage your claws/arm clamps if you follow that method. Although I did not get the method I use for removal from the user I link further, this is somewhat how it should be done. There is a rectangular slot inside the spool holder. You want to work from in there by rotating the open rectangle to each claw/arm and pushing out, gently, with a flat head screw driver, or your fingers. If it is not popping out straight, DO NOT force it out. Push it back in and work the opposite side that came out first. Here is the video from the user showing how it should be done, but he is a little rough. LINK HERE TAKES YOU TO YOUTUBE, If you don't want to go straight to his YouTube, here is his make with embedded YT video in his make description https://makerworld.com/en/models/177824#profileId-195650
BBLamsL_Sunlu_Spool Holder v1
Use on original free standing AMS lite only. v1 has no tab to prevent slipping if the AMS angled top mount mod is used. v2 has a tab included to prevent original spindle from slipping out. Use v2 if using the top mount mod.
*.20mm Standard for quality.
Standard settings for Generic PLA filament use should be just fine.
Enable support. Use defaults. Do NOT check "On Build Plate Only"
BBLamsL_Sunlu_Spool Holder v2
Use on any AMS lite. v2 has a tab included to prevent original spindle from slipping out. The tab has a 5mm gap of play so you can push the original spindle out and twist using the gap for finger grip which helps slip the original spindle out easier. A v3 is being test printed for less gap.
*.20mm Standard for quality.
Standard settings for Generic PLA filament use should be just fine.
Enable support. Use defaults. Do NOT check "On Build Plate Only"
On the P1P, approximately 62g of filament is used. Total time 1h43m stock settings.
On the A1, approximately 57g of filament is used. Total time 2h26m using stock settings.
USE ALIGNED SEAMS.
This will only work on the black PLA spools, possibly the PLA+ but Sunlu now has a v2.0 which I see is using the blue sppol like the meta filament which are smaller than the SunLu black colored spools, and larger than the BambuLab spools.
