Description

magnetic dust collection adapters with TPU Gaskets

- featuring a TPU Gasket for superior seal

- adapter for 4 inch DWV fittings, features a slight angle allowing it to be attached to a pipe that's mounted flush along a wall while maintaining clearance.

- hose fittings feature spiral threads to help hold hose in place.

- makes use of 2 10x3mm magnets per tab, for 16 in total per fitting

additional tool adapters added, the standard one fits most of my tools but sometimes you need something a little smaller or larger, measure your tools dust port before printing to see which version you need, a few wraps of electrical tap around the tools dust port can help to snug up the fit of an adapter that's just slightly too large, feel free to comment which tools you printed which adapters for to help the community know what to print for their shop.

please consider one of the included sizes first however if none of them work for you i have included my CAD Files from Fusion 360.

i suggest printing extra thick walls on the hose fittings to survive potential drops.

print face down, supports recommended but optional, supports should only be used in the magnet holes and gasket groove

i recommend alternating the polarity of the magnets as you go around the circumference of the fitting this will let you use any fitting in combination with any other and you wont have to worry about what fittings match which.

yea I'll clean the file up a bit so its easier to make sense of and post it soon. I'm a bit busy with work atm so it will be a day or two.

For sure, I'd love the fusion files too; these are fantastic, but I need to customize for some machines.

i uploaded additional size print profiles as well as my CAD files in case those still aren't close enough to work for you.

I used 10x5mm magnets for a stronger hold. The magnet recesses in the file are just greater than 5mm deep. I started with 10x3mm as instructed, and found it to be too weak to hold up hoses that are being pulled..... then realized that there was plenty of space already built into the file to accept 5mm thick magnets. Much better hold now!!!

yea I was stacking 2x 10x3mm magnets per hole to get the hold I needed. if your saying that you found magnets that hold better than 2 of the 3mm then do you mind sharing a link? it would always be handy to have access to stronger magnets for some of these if I needed.

didn't think to stack 3's..... just did a very unscientific study of both versions stuck to either side of a piece of paper. Might be biased, but I feel that the 5mm's feel like they are giving a little more resistance than the double stacked 3mm's Here's the link to what I bought: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VZN77RP?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details got a feeling that our results are very similar. Love this model - thanks for the upload! I'm skipping the TPU gasket - nice idea, and it was cool to print a gasket - but it causes too much separation of magnets, and not necessary for me needs to make it gasket tight.....

the main reason I decided to incorporate the gaskets was that I plan to upgrade to a camvac dust collector which pulls a vacuumed through a 4inch line rather than the typical low preasure high volume approach that a traditional collection system uses. my shop is small and I dont always have room for the nice sweeping bends in my ductwork that is optimal for a low preasure system. the gaskets do result in a 1 or 2 mm separation at rhe couplers, it's not massive but as magnetic strength falls off exponentially with distance every little bit can help with the strength of the hold so I understand not using the gaskets if you don't need them
