Description

Updated profile in Jan 2026 to allow better printing for the hand pistons, joints and finger fixings.  They are now laid flat and printed by object to ensure a good print with better adhesion. Where possible used Supertack or Cryogrip plate for best adhesion to bed.

They do print fine without a large brim with a good adhesion,  you can increase the brim, but will need to shave down with a deburring tool.

Based on the fantastic model by OneIdMONstr and the original by nracmo, I've tweaked the designs over the past few weeks to make it simpler to print.

Remixed the main arm piston into one big assembly to make it stronger, added finger joint pistons, finger tube pins so no nails are required, added printable rods to allow for easier connection of the fingers, redesigned the light base so it can be used with LED light strips (ikea ones are hard to get for me). I've also created a couple of additional elbow pistons so it hides the metal bar better.

Also used the Arm base from diggsbarklightr (rescaled slightly).

Printed in 0.12 layer height and ironed some parts so there is minimal sanding required. 25% cross hatch infill for strength.

I've arranged the parts on the plates to make it easy to print and see attached screenshots for assembly help.  Depending on your printer, you may need to tweak supports/brims or print items individually, but these all printed fine on my P1S.

Then to paint it, I used 2 coats of primer, 2 coats of black gloss, then I airbrushed metallic chrome paint on from Green Stuff world and it's come out a treat.

I added some hanging cables too - the cable effect is just this cable protector wrapped around an old usb cable and stuck on with glue in line with the fingers/thumb.

Update:  I've also created the damaged CPU that can be added to the model.  Link here.
