Description

Turn your conventional lighters into a fun lighter gun.

Simply place the lighter and trigger into one of the gun halves and close it.

The gun should work with most of the generic lighter shapes out there, but it needs to be one with a button.

I used self-tapping screws to close the two halves. For the top front screw hole you maybe want to shorten the screw to make it fit perfect.

I used a Bic electronic lighter with the longer tube. Had to remix the trigger to get it to work though. Also added heat insert nuts and machine screws. Still a work in progress.

To facilitate later replacement of the lighter, I added a gap for the embedded nut through Boolean operations, paused printing when the layer was printed, and then embedded the nut. This makes it more durable than a self-tapping screw. Additionally, it is recommended to add some gaskets for different types of lighters.

Would you please share your remixed version with the bolts and nuts? I'd really appreciate it.

I'd like to share my file with you, but I don't know how to send it to you. Let me describe my approach in detail: 1. Draw a hexagonal prism that needs to be the same size as the built-in nut, and then reserve the assembly gap. The assembly gap I left is 0.15mm. 2, copy four of these hexagonal prism, and according to the length of your hand screw, adjust to a suitable height. 3. Align these hexagonal pillars with the screw holes in the center (I am manually aligned), and then subtract these hexagonal pillars by Boolean operation. 4, when printing, first slice, only add the bottom support, not the internal support, and then right-click on the progress bar on the right side, add the layer of the printed nut area as the pause layer. 5, wait for the printer to pause, put the nut in, and click to continue printing. There you go!

thanks for your description! Couldn't you just upload a remix of this model? I'd imagine that more people would be interested in it. Edit: I just found out it's not allowed to remix this model. thank you anyways, i managed to do it.

My lighter is smaller, so I designed a small part to make it fit. If you need one too, you can download and print it. https://makerworld.com/en/models/638430#profileId-563994

Works only with one of my three lighters. But I like it.

Runs smoothly and can be assembled with ease using 1xM3*6, 1xM3*10, and 2xM3*14 screws. Use a knife to refine the grip and trigger areas for a more seamless experience.
