Description

Step into the world of high-stakes adventure with my 3D printed Balloon-Powered Boat - a vessel that not only boasts a sleek design straight out of a James Bond movie but also features an easy inflate function for instant action on the water. This isn't just a toy; it's an experience waiting to unfold.

Here's how it works: first, you inflate the balloon and attach it to the boat using the screw. Next, a chamber inside the boat directs the air towards the back (where the boat's propeller would normally be). As the air escapes, it propels the boat forward. And voila, you've got yourself a fully functioning balloon-powered boat!

But wait, there's more! To control the direction of the boat, simply adjust the small rudder before setting sail. It's easy, it's fun, and it's a great way to spend a sunny day at the lake. Plus, it's an excellent STEM project for kids to learn about basic physics concepts like thrust and propulsion.

So why not give it a try and see just how far your balloon-powered boat can go?

Rafts: No

Supports: No

… not sealed ?

the neck of the ballon acts as a sealing. If the screw goes haywire, you can remove the ballon and roll up the neck of the ballon to make the sealing thicker.

Great model! Being a yacht designer, I had to use one of my hulls, but I kept the "drive system" Not tested yet (no balloons) but the float test was good. :) This version printed vertically with very few issues.

The boat turned out great, all the elements are of high quality and dense. I haven't launched it yet, but I think it works

Ran out of blue while printing, so Changed to red mid print, looks nice, a bit more sporty 😂 Had no problems printing, I’ll have to try it in water soon!!

Printing worked very well on the second attempt. However, I aborted the first one myself, so that had nothing to do with the design.

Hull printed amazingly well, I had some issues with the balloon adapter that kept breaking free from the build plate about half way up. I solved by splitting the parts into two plates and adding supports to the balloon part. printing on an angle was definitely a new experience though! Overall very happy with the print quality and design, I'm certain my nephew is going to enjoy playing with it in his paddling pool this summer.
