Description

This is a five-step puzzle box. There are four sliding motions and one rotation required to unlock the box. The main hub of the locking mechanism is printed in place with the lid.

This is version 2 of the Locking Puzzle Box. The sliding parts have been improved so that they click into place when they are in the locked position.

Video assembly instructions can be viewed here.

Think I broke the locking pins when messing around at first, but the ribbon still works. :)

Brilliant model, and appreciated the video tutorial. very clever design. I printed at original scale and it came out wonderfully, and printed at 200% and only minor adjustments were needed (printed the bow slower and had some overhang issues inside the box that needed post processing). It was easier to break the spinning center cap in the larger model. Overall one of my all time favorite models and I am sure will be a big holiday hit. Double boosted!

Thank you for the positive review and the double boost. I hope you have fun with it. Another fun gift box is the Gravity Gift Box. You might like that one too.

I end up scaling it to 150% to fit the present and the locking mechanisms still worked. Only issue I has was the fixed ribbons on the side, the pins no longer fit so I just glued them on.
