Description

Deadpool 3 textured helmet

I just received my P1s and as promised here is the DP3 helm.

Uses 8x2mm magnets, 100 in total.

Added more magnet connections for a stronger fit.

I was also able to test the hole sizes and they are 8.2mm wide and do indeed fit the magnets recommended b

Eye pack here – https://makerworld.com/en/models/606324  Due to the 500mb size limit these had to be separated into two posts.

Enjoy

Hey @Budwin, You say these are sized for your head. I just printed your Spiderman helmet at the 93% Profile loaded here and for my head, roughly 22.5in, it fits great. Can you give us an idea of what these STL are sized for by default either in hat size or circumference?

I use the number 3 sizing head when modeling most of my work. https://makerworld.com/en/models/525268

can you share what filament you used for the red?

Sure. Hatchbox - Iron Red. purchased from Amazon UK. Unfortunately more expensive than Bambu’s PLA, but I loved the colour!

While holding them in place on the inside I glued them with a hot glue gun around the edges and held till it dried. I hope this helps

That looks amazing, question though when you scaled it, did it affect how the magnets fit ?

Hello May I ask what layer height you have set? At 0.2mm the pattern looks awful on the P1S. Or do you use the preset? Best regards Martin

I was facing significant challenges with supports being knocked over while printing this model (all parts) — not just with this model, but with any intricate design that had minimal build plate interfacing beyond the supports (wands, statues, etc, with moderate overhangs). I tried countless settings from various sources, including YouTube, Bambu, Orca, and Prusa tutorials, but nothing worked—until I implemented the following settings (see attached images). Since incorporating these changes, I’ve consistently achieved successful prints, regardless of the complexity or size of the helmet components. Once the issues were resolved, this model became a pleasure to print, and I’m excited to share photos as I complete the build, I have one side plate left to go! I truly appreciate the exceptional design and craftsmanship behind this product. It’s been a joy to work with, and I’m happy to continue recommending your work. Thank you for creating such an outstanding product! While these settings worked perfectly for me, I acknowledge that results may vary depending on the equipment. I currently operate five Bambu Lab X1C, P1S, and A1 printers, and I initially struggled to achieve successful builds using the default settings for this project. I experimented with different engineering plates, including PEI, PEO, textured surfaces, and various adhesion techniques like bed glue, but none of them produced reliable results until I found the optimal configuration. Filament Used: Polymaker PolyLite Silk PLA - Red Polymaker PolyLite Silk PLA - Black Polymaker PolyLite Silk PLA - White Note: With the attached support settings, I have had little to no marks left on the Polymaker Silk PLA - Red, and I didn’t need any tools for cleanup or removal of any supports. Everything broke away super clean!

what filament for the red

I actually used a burgundy-red by eligoo. I like the color better than the bright red. But I should also advise you that after printing two helmets, I noticed that there must be some type of off-gassing with this color, which I found odd. The bottom of the CX1 had a pink tinge on the light gray tray, and when I wiped down the glass, a pinkish residue was noticeable. there was a small squib of white filament in the bottom of the printer and it had a pink hue to it. All I am saying, is that this fillament has to be emitting some type of vapor as it goes through the extruded at temp. I haven’t reached out to Eligoo yet, but will shoot them a question about this. cheers

Im not familiar with the K1 but I would start by adding more support where its failing, Be sure the bed is as clean as possible. Also do your supports always look like that with the little pieces extruding from the sides ?

do u happen to know what his head size is in inches? was it a tight fit?

Replying to @Duarte56 :
He was just shy of 21 inches circumference and it fit perfectly with a bit of space at the top for foam padding. scaling it down made the magnet holes smaller but was able to use 7x2mm magnets instead of 8x2mm
