Description
Before You Begin
Please evaluate and use this tool at your own risk. It’s meant to be a safety measure for using your table saw, but there's no guarantee it will work perfectly.
Push Stick Lengths
Long (20.5")
- Requires printing 4 models: tip, tip holder, handle, and extension.
Short (13")
- Requires printing 3 models: tip, tip holder, and handle.
Push Stick Width
25 mm
STL Files
- Tip (Flexible. TPU/TPE)
- Double-ended design: flip if one end is cut.
- Attaches to tip holder with screws. Ensure the saw blade barely clears the wood for safety to avoid hitting screws.
- Tip Holder and Handle
- May need support for screw holes.
- Extension
- Requires support.
Hardware
- Long version
- 6 x M5 20mm button head cap screws.
- 6 x M5 hex nuts.
- Short version
- 4 x M5 20mm button head cap screws.
- 4 x M5 hex nuts.
Note: 25mm screws might also work but may stick out slightly. Socket head screws might fit, but this is untested. For hex head screws, you’ll need to modify the screw holes.
Tolerances
0.2-0.3 mm for screw holes and 0.4 mm for connections to accommodate most printers and hardware. Please verify your printer’s tolerance and hardware size, and adjust STL files if needed.
Remix Ideas
- Improve handle ergonomics.
- Adjust extension length for desired push stick size.
- Modify the tip shape and length to suit your needs.
- Modify the pattern on the extension.
