I designed that for my "AMS hub Wire connector and PTFE tube intersecting" v2.0.
It is to unlatch (Release) the PTFE injector tube from the AMS. I make 2 models: One for the regular single AMS (the long one) and one for the (4) ways AMS Hub (10mm shutter).
Again, I figure the BBL with one AMS is deeper than the AMS hub (about exactly 10mm :-)
Then I make 2 models, and everybody should have one for the filament buffer. If you have an "AMS Hub," you need the short one. The long one is for the single AMS.
As being me I use ABS, I would not recommend PLA. PETg could be even better. But I'm an ABS guy... Join the force and be an ABS Master…
OK, Back to the print. This would reduce the play in the bore of the buffer. The hole is 5.5 for a 4mm tube. I did add clearances to the tube, and hub bore to make everything free-floating. Since the tube is going up, it will stay there and can freely slide in and out. To do so, I did use one layer-wide wall with the "Wall generation" (in quality under Ironing) set to [Arachne], whatever that means… I put a 0.20mm layer, which gave me a good finish, but if you like to try to have it smoother, you can try to lower it. Other than that, there's nothing special. I added a brim, but it doesn't need it.
