Description

I designed that for my "AMS hub Wire connector and PTFE tube intersecting" v2.0.

It is to unlatch (Release) the PTFE injector tube from the AMS. I make 2 models: One for the regular single AMS (the long one) and one for the (4) ways AMS Hub (10mm shutter).

Again, I figure the BBL with one AMS is deeper than the AMS hub (about exactly 10mm :-)

Then I make 2 models, and everybody should have one for the filament buffer. If you have an "AMS Hub," you need the short one. The long one is for the single AMS.

As being me I use ABS, I would not recommend PLA. PETg could be even better. But I'm an ABS guy... Join the force and be an ABS Master…

OK, Back to the print. This would reduce the play in the bore of the buffer. The hole is 5.5 for a 4mm tube. I did add clearances to the tube, and hub bore to make everything free-floating. Since the tube is going up, it will stay there and can freely slide in and out. To do so, I did use one layer-wide wall with the "Wall generation" (in quality under Ironing) set to [Arachne], whatever that means… I put a 0.20mm layer, which gave me a good finish, but if you like to try to have it smoother, you can try to lower it. Other than that, there's nothing special. I added a brim, but it doesn't need it.

Stop reading this and have fun with your printer.

I noticed a lot of friction on the PTFE and residue being left behind so when I found this I wanted to see if it would help and it definitely did. Thanks!

Why do you have your printer sideway LOL are you in the Space Station? How's the BambuLab doing in Microgravity? Thanks for downloading it and give a shot to it. I have other solution to the X/P series little issues on my profile.

LOL! Due to my current set up, my AMS are on the left of the printer so I had to relocate the AMS hub to the left to shorten the PTFE travel. The PTFE angle was a bit too long coming out of the hub which was probably contributing to the friction. I recently cut off 4mm but still have the injector in place.

Sound great. If it's isn't broken don't fix it... Sound like you are having so much fun, well that's what maker do... Keep having fun.

printed fine, however they are brittle due to their thin walls. unfortunately no way to easily beef them up without making the hole on the AMS buffer larger.

I like to have spare parts, and this is a nice way to keep layer times a bit longer with my ABS without cooling 😅

You did an excellent job printing it. I Love that green, but this is not one of my designs. You may want to add this guide for it. https://makerworld.com/en/models/97066#profileId-103587 Thanks

Excellent, I'm glad you like it. Is it me, or do I see zit on the tube? If so, you need to dry your filaments, and they will disappear. Good job printing it! Thanks, and keep having fun printing trouble-free. PS: Look at my other solutions for the annoying little issues of the X/P series.

works great, i added a small amount of teflon grease on the outer surface to further reduce friction. be careful not to get any on the ptfe tube opening to avoid contamination. thank you for designing this

It sounds like a great idea. Thanks for downloading my work. I invite you to look at my other solutions for BBL's little corks.

Lifesaver! Got some filament snapped in multiple places along the tubing from the AMS all the way to the extruder, slotting this on (and now keeping it on there) helped a ton.

Hey RickUK, excellent review. I had the same issue and designed this, and the problem was solved. I'm happy you like it. Dry the brittle filament prior to use; it would help, too. Thanks for downloading it and giving feedback. I do appreciate it. I invite you to look at my other solutions for BBL's little corks.

eines der nützlichsten Dinge die ich je gedruckt habe! selten so geflucht den PTFE aus dem Biffer zu bekommen ohne dieses Tool!
