Star Passthrough
Print Profile(3)

Description
I've previously printed other passthrough models from other designers. My 7 year old son asked me if I could design him one that had a base in the shape of a star. He had significant input in the design, and also requested one where the insert was shifted so it looked like there were two stars intersecting each other (the green print).
In all I have uploaded three versions:
- A left handed “thread” model (dark blue). This was my original design, but it offended my mechanical sensibilities when it didn't twist the way I thought it should so I knew I needed other models.
- A right handed “thread” model (light blue). This one feels so much better, but maybe you need both, who knows.
- A right handed “thread” model where the insert is offset by 36° (green). If that feels oddly specific, this is just so the star points of the insert stick out between the star points of the base.
Each of are set up to print on one plate with the “print by object” setting. If you don't have an AMS or are printing in batches or something, you can print the parts separately to get different colors.
Boost Me (for free)
If you like this model, I'd appreciate a boost. That let's me know this is something worth iterating on and improving.
