Description

NEW

funny clicky fidget ratchet with knurled knob on the one side and hex nut on the other.

basic filamen- (instead of matt) providing better click and longer life due to less wear over time.

carefully brake free the lever from the surface bevor assembly!

new longlife version:

  • double-spring ensures long life
  • open heart - better sound

______________________________________________________________________________________________________

V1

it’s so fun to play with. the click is very satisfying. I felt the need to make it bigger and I would definitely recommend doing that, the sound difference is amazing.

Nice print, looking forward to try it out! :-) I have found out that the printed model has a really minor defect when printing the ratchet arm, it prints bridge, that is curved in the air, which the printer cant do… So thats why it is straight line. If it is normal and it is intended, then tell me. But other than than, love it! Thank you for your design :-)

Hi Jakub! Thank you for the reply and your reminder ;) You are absolutely right, I didn't recognized this as a design issue- but it is- no doubt! Nevertheless it has no effect (except esthetic issue) on the model. as you can imagine (I just write it down in case someone will find this usefull for overall understanding) there are two opposite target to get at this point: 1) clearance 2) spring form = curve in the air :) I hoped the first "in the air" layer will have slight contact due to adhesion (perhaps it hat in the first prototyped but then after increasing the gap I didn't mention the moment it turned to the straight line). Perhaps it will also work with less gap but then you have to break the lever free bevor assembly- less plug and play :) I will decently think about it for some time, maybe will come up with an idea. Thank you for reporting mate!

might cause some people issues if that first unsupported layer drags around. an easy fix might be to give that 'spring' a slight angle and then it won't extend so far without any support, but it'll decrease the likelihood issues. will also make the spring slightly weaker. but the bigger concept is potential filament drag issues causing problems elsewhere in the print. otherwise, nice! good job. :-)

Really amazing at how fine the resolution is on the A1. Printed two of these for nice color combo with Bambu PLA.

Strength Issue:Print comes out fine and worked well. if you ever turn it the wrong way the print is compromised and will fail. After a while the dial snapped the middle support. Had to toss

Do not turn the wrong direction ;) operating failure. Why you blame the model? Go and turn you car or door key the wrong direction 🤔

Agree 100%, just hard to tell that to a 6 year old who doesn't understand fully yet :D. Might print it again with a stronger filament and see if that helps

I understand. Of course I had tried to design biderectional toy but, in to make a satisfying feeling while clicking i went witch an wedge teeth form on outer ring in order to provide rising tension before click. But, thank you for the idea with kids… stupidity i didn’t thought about this use case :) I will Design a biderectional version soon. 🔜
