Description
Introduction
Thanks to thosa, Makers Manual and teslapunk for the inspiration to create this drill press dust collection model. Other models are also good, and while they all share the similar thought platform, I have gone ahead and created parts from zero to come up with a solution that is modular and has solutions to a wide range of work situations.
Designed for
- Adjustable Column/Pillar Clamp: Easily moved and fixed with knobs, simplifying the adjustment process.
- Versatile Dust Collection: Efficiently collects dust whether working on large or small items using a flexible hose.
- Flexible Positioning: The column/pillar clamp can be attached to both the upper and lower parts (with rack), accommodating odd-sized items.
- Extension Arm: Supports dust collection when drilling items requiring a longer vacuum hose.
Important dimensions
- Column/Pillar Clamp Vacuum Hose Hole: 35mm diameter, suitable for a vacuum hose end.
- Column/Pillar Diameter: Fits drill columns/pillars with an 80mm diameter. Note that I have now also added a print profile for column diameter:
- 92mm
- 90mm
- 78mm
- 73mm
- 65mm
- 58mm
- 48mm
- 40mm
