Hello. How did you get to the red part to look like rubber?

I just finished mine but i feel like the magnets just aren't strong enough to hold it in your head. Anyone have any other solution for this?

What did you use to dye the red parts?

any tips? my support keeps failing when it starts to print the rear of the main piece at around layer 650. seems like the tool head is hitting the tree support and knocking it over. I added some magnets inside the tree to help with adhesion and when it hit it shifted instead of falling.

hi mate we spoke earlier on Facebook I tried your magnet idea and failed the same way but it wasn't because it hit anything sounds weird but I think the magnets did something to the printer and made it shift over 5mm and failed almost straight away... but something that helped me was bigger brims and make sure your bed is cleaned properly with hot and I mean hot water and dish soap scrub it clean and then dry off with a paper towel and do not touch with your bare hands

printed amazing. supports came off easy with no prep after. A little wash to weather and tone down the red and it was done. Great model. thanks. 👌🏽

Looks awesome after being weathered, got any tips on how to do that? Hopefully without any airbrushing!

Thanks. I used umber brown model wash watered down a little more and brushed it all over. I let it dry for a few mins and dabbed off the excess. the seam lines i added a little grey wash to darken it. It was actually my first time doing something like that was worried about making it look bad. I suppose there is no wrong way it just depends how weathered looking you want it.

if you did not scale the model down, get the 8x2mm magnets and some 7x2mm magnets because the fitting is sometimes a little hard to get right :)

No I didn’t touch the scale on that one, thanks for the advice 👍🏻

awesome print just finished assembling it.. I had to use the cut front as I scaled it to 105% and could not get it to fit the bed. I had a little problem glueing the main section together. but after a little trial and error and some melting filament to fill a gap I got it. I am happy with it.
