UNIVERSAL CLIP
Print Profile(1)

Description
A universal clip that it very easy to scale. I am using it for our greenhouses and grills. Let me know what you want to use it for.
The original clips itself is designed with a diameter of 31.8 mm. for my Weber grill.
How to scale the clips?
- Measure the diameter on your stick/leg/object. I measured my other Weber grill leg to 24.7mm.
In this example I will downscale. Do 24.7/31.8=0.7767 (so the wanted size is 77.67% smaller than the original). In BambuLab it says the original clips is 100. Then i scaled to 77.67 to get the right size.
If we want to upscale, let us say to 35mm. Then we do 35/31.8=1.1006 (so the wanted size is 110.06% bigger than the original). In BambuLab we will upscale with 110.06 to achieve a diameter of 35mm.
Always, wanted size divided with 31.8, and you know how much you need to upscale or downscale.
Material:
I printed it in PETG, 0.20mm Strength with 40% infill. I must say, i do not know if 15%, 20% or 30% is fine, I just wanted to be safe.
I do grill a lot and take the cover on and off very often. Therefore i wanted to be safe and choose 40% infill, honeycomb.
I would love to hear your suggestions about infill.
Story behind the design and purpose:
When it gets a little windy, the cover for my Weber grill didn't stay on.
I got the idea to strap the cover to the legs.
I designed this clip, made a few prototypes to make sure it was able to open enough without cracking.
This one has been working for me.
I figured the clips was perfect for our greenhouses too. Until now, i am using the clips on two grills and three greenhouses. They has been sitting outside since May 2024, and the clips on the grills have been taken on and off 80 times (including testing).
UPDATE October 10 2024:
I have been having the small once falling off in heavy wind if we didn't close the green houses. Otherwise the clips has been perfect the whole summer for our grills and greenhouses.
I WOULD LOVE ANY KIND OF FEED BACK, infill size, etc.
