Description

I enjoyed making my Cubone SSA model and people seem to enjoy it too. Thanks to @BlackEternity for the recommendation of Haunter Pokemon and thanks to printedobsessions for their permission and a near net shape Haunter model I was able to tweak and modify to work well for this string art box. Haunter - Pokemon - Fan Art - 3D model by printedobsession on Thangs

As usual, this needs to be printed at 0.2mm layer height and wall generator set to Arachne in Bambu Studio.

If there's some other object or creature you'd like to see in an SSA piece, then DM me to let me know and I'll see if I can add it to the project list. Happy printing everyone!

Can't quite get this one to print. Anyone have any tips? Printing on a P1S.

Oof that does look rough, what filament and filament settings are you running if you don't mind me asking? you might be running the filament too cold so its flow when extruding the bridges is cooling too fast and wants to just pull the strings as it is printing them so they just pluck off when printing. If it is generic PLA or even PLA+ try it at 220-225 if you have it only around 210-215 right now

Bambu basic PLA with auto settings. I tried running at slower speeds and it failed again. I’ll give it a go at lower nozzle temp when I get home. Thanks!

Much better! Nozzle was set to 220, cranked it to 225 and it worked good enough for its location under my monitor. Left hand is a little wonky, but the low light setting for it will hide the imperfections. Thanks a ton for your help and the cool design!

Looks awesome, i've added brackets with magnets and attached it to the vent of the waterblock. With LEDs behind

also scaled it up so it's wider and not so tall , still printed out perfect.

Printed quite nicely, a bit of stringing around the hands that I used a heat gun on, and one or two broke strings, but I don't feel right knocking a kind of scary print for being slightly iffy on me using cheapo filament at 100% speed.

Yeah I understand those hazards of printing the super bridges in these string art models but those look fantastic as can be😌👍🏼Thank you for the feedback.

So sorry it looks like one of the hands popped off while printing for you. If you haven't tried already using some bed adhesive such as gluestick or 3d pint spray might solve that issue for this type of problem. Thank you for printing it out and that filament is a truly amazing color!
