Clock Components Kit (1pcs) - MH011

Description

Butterfly Clock

A simply Butterfly Clock made for my friend.

It uses a typical clock mechanism found at Maker's Supply or on Amazon.

Recommended, add a clear 100mm dia acrylic disk to the front bezel, also found on Amazon.

Assembly

  1. Print all parts.
  2. Insert clock mechanism into back of clock base. (see note below)
  3. Add face plate to front of clock base using pins. Use crazy glue to hold the face plate and pins in place.
  4. Screw washer and nut onto clock mechanism, tighten gently onto front plate.
  5. Add hour hand, add minute hand and add second hand.
  6. Add acrylic disc to inside of clock bezel (make sure you remove films). Use a very small amount of glue. Try not to touch inner acrylic with oily hands. Do not add to clock base at this time.
  7. Add battery to clock and ensure that the hands are aligned correctly and are tight and do not rub against one another.
  8. Add butterfly plate to back of clock base.
  9. Screw on clock back plate. DO NOT GLUE
  10. Once you are satified with clock operation, use a very small amount of crazy glue and slide bezel onto clock face.

NOTE: should your clock mechanism have a very short stem, you can try adding the nut onto the clock mechanism and base before you add and glue on the clock face plate. Then add the face plate onto the clock base. The face plate has a small inner recess to allow for the nut (no washer) in this case.
