Imagine a unique twist on the classic Backgammon game—a vertical backgammon board designed to hang elegantly on any wall. This custom 3D-printed board features magnetic stone pieces that securely attach to the board, allowing for seamless gameplay without the worry of pieces falling out of place.

What sets this vertical Backgammon board apart is its practicality for asynchronous play. Perfect for office environments or anywhere colleagues enjoy a slow-paced game, players can make one or two moves per day at their convenience. To keep track of the game's progress, a magnetic flag is ingeniously attached to the board, indicating who made the last move.

Since the Backgammon board is designed to hang vertically, I’ve integrated a dice tower directly into the frame to make rolling the dice easier and more convenient.

This board also includes a magnetic frame where captured stone pieces can be stored. This ensures that no pieces are lost during gameplay, offering both convenience and peace of mind.

This print requires the purchase of 125 round 4x2mm magnets.
Assembly is straightforward but requires super glue. Here is the Amazon link for the magnets I used:

Assembly & Setup:

  1. Glue the magnets to the stones and the board plates (Please pay attention to the polarity of the magnets)

2. Attach the plates to the board. Please use glue to secure them.

3. Glue the top and the bottom part of each frame together.

4. Attach the board to the frame by adding the pins and secure them with the glue.

5. Attach two magnets to the top and bottom of the frame to hold the flag and the captured stones.
