Boost Me (for free)

Thank you for the great feedback! I would really appreciate a Boost if you like the model :)

A simple knife sharpening guide for a standard (maximum) 60x180mm whetstone. I have printed it in PLA and it works perfectly fine.

I have added more angles now: 15°, 18°, 20°, 22°

Here is a link for the whetstone i use (But pretty much every generic whetstone will do the job): https://amzn.to/4dmwX2M

Not only that, the angle is spot on.. Just tried using it on one of my cheaper very dull knife, it is now razor sharp. Could i have done it by hand? absolutely, but this takes the guesswork out of the equation :)

Happy to hear that, for me it is also the consistency so i can keep the knife sharp better by using the same angle every time :)

Came out really well! I did modify it slightly to not need the rail as my block came with a base of it's own and the block itself was slightly larger than the standard size.

Printed well and quite easily, but unfortunately it's just a tiny bit too short for my stone, so the guide ends up riding the stone. I had to cut away some of it to create a tiny gap. I would also appreciate something that would show how to actually use this guide as it seems very awkward. I'm guessing it's something along these lines, right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ema3TX3pDWc

This is a pretty neat tool. Would you be willing to make a version of it that fits the Naniwa Chosera whetstones? According to my calipers, the dimension of the Naniwas Choseras is 70.2mm x 25.20 mm x 212.2 mm. That would be really nice. If that is not an option / too much work, I would try to adjust the model accordingly in Bambu Studio. Anyway, thanks for the nice model.

Thanks for the nice words! Currently i am on vacation so i won´t be able to adjust it for the next 1-2 weeks. Feel free to adjust it in Bambu Studio and if it works you can upload ist as a remix/print profile. If it doesn´t work i will adjust it asap.

Hey, I created a parametric model of this, because my stone did not fit and I saw you wrote here this can be uploaded as a remix, but this model does not allow remixes. Can you allow remixes of this? I think you would need to change the license for this to one which allows remixes.
