FIDGET BUTTON WITH 2-STATE CLICK: EASIER ASSEMBLY + MORE CONSISTENT PERFORMANCE

This is the original design:

Dual state click button mechanism by vhmaker - MakerWorld

 

I took the original design and redesigned all 3 parts, in order to get:

  • Easier and much improved fit for the pin
  • Longer longevity/lifespan of the pin
  • Larger shell which is more comfortable to hold
  • Rounded push-button for more comfortable action
  • Improved shape on the pin sled in the spring part for more consistent performance

The overall shape and size is more akin to a lighter now, making it much more comfortable to hold and use.

Works great, awesome design, pin broke after a few clicks, but to be fair I did not use the strongest of materials, I still think it great!

Wonderful design. Printed with PLA basic and clicked a hundred times and counting without issues to the pin. Will try PETG pin in future but may never need to!

pls help weak pin it breakes the tip of the pin so it just hanges there i tryed it in petg and abs but good modle boost 100persent

Yes the pin is a weakness, but it shouldn’t that easy. Have you gotten to the point of fully asssembles, or is the pin breaking during assembly…?

when i play with it for 6 clicks it stops conecting with rhe top bit of the button try making it more thick tks

I tried a higher thickness during testing, but the thicker pin had a much harder time going up and around; due to the added stiffness. I printed it in Bambu Labs' new PETG-HF and have no issues after hundreds of clicks. I'll look into releasing the thicker pin as a separate download - stay tuned :)
