Description

Here is a seed starter tray that I designed to work with most mediums, I currently use them with cotton wool, but they will also take 1-inch rockwool cubes. It has six cells and a cutout at the bottom for water to wick into the growing medium to encourage the roots to grow down in search of water.

Being small it makes it easy to have separate trays for seeds that germinate at a different rate and easy to carry when planting out. The hole in the base is large enough to allow for the plant to be removed without damaging the roots.

There are optional lifters that you can print that can be placed in the tray before adding your growing medium to aid with removal when ready to transplant. These are on plate number 2 in the printing profile.

The tray measures 90mm long by 59mm wide by 26mm tall and uses only 26 grams of filament to print, I recommend printing in PETG.

The tray has been designed to print base down without the need to add supports.
