Hydroponic 1" Water Inline Venturi ABS
Print Profile(1)

Description
I designed this inline ABS 1" air Venturi for my hydroponic system. I have a RDWC hydroponic system and with this addition I do no need any air pumps or air stones. MUCH QUIETER and adds way more oxygen to the system. The design allows for maximum water output while still maintaining the high venturi effect needed giving you a much higher level of dissolved oxygen . Pretty sure there is about 5 people in the world that would need this, but if you do here ya go! I have searched searched for this as a download (paid and free) and even a retail solution and never found anything. If this helps even one other hydroponic hacker build a better system, it's worth it <3
I have been asked for explanation of how I set mine up.
** My system is fed by a 3170 gallon per hour DC sine wave pump split to 4 seperate 1" lines going into each tank. It venturis a tremendous amount of air.
For ease of remembering the print has a relief on the bottom to show which way the water flow needs to be set up through the venturi

This is the basic set up I m currently using:

The main shut off is only used to divert water from my hydroponic tank. When shut off the water travels to the waste water valve and lets me dump the tanks quite fast. In operation the main valve is opened and the waste water valve is closed.
The venturi is at the end of this segment just before being split and sent to each tank.
The Air venturi inlet just uses static air pressure, no need to use anything pressurized for it to function. I connect a 3/8 black poly line to it and run it into the top of the main tank. It gets all the air it wants from there and it recycles the air in tank that can become stagnant.
Running the air inlet from the top of the main tank also minimizes the sound level, which is nice :)
The basic principle is that the water is constricted and under pressure, so when it gets to explode out into the bigger area it creates a vacuum, drawing in the air which is in turn smashed into the diffuser creating the dissolved oxygen for my hydroponics.
This will work great for any ponds and various kinds of hydroponics setups.

** This print is experimental so please be aware that it has not been extensively tested in real work conditions. The one I have printed for my hydroponics has been in service 24/7 for the last 3 months without issue. Please use at your own risk and monitor for any issues. Message me with any improvement ideas, I'm always up for a challenge!
Pleas check out my waterfall diffusers for inside each RDWC tank!
