Description

Underware is the universal, open-source, modular, extensible and re-usable solution for managing cables, mini-pcs, usb devices…pretty much anything, anywhere!

Watch this video to find out more:

Key Points

  • Open-source design - The whole solution is open-source, so feel free to extend and come up with your own brilliant solutions.
  • Parametric files - I have parametric Autodesk Fusion files for anyone who's interested, just contact me on my site and I can share.
  • Printing - all files should be printable as they are - the only file that need supports is the curved table leg mount - and even then it's just a tiny tree support to hold the screw piece.

Base Multiboard grid that I used is available here:
https://thangs.com/designer/Keep%2520Making/3d-model/9x9%2520Multiboard%2520Core%2520Tile-977730

Multiconnect (for screw mounts!):

Visit my site for more instructions:

Changelog:

  • v1.31 - Fixed T and X base heights (1mm variance) - thanks Don Pattee!
  • v1.32 - Added Fusion source files for Parametric Bracket and Channel Pieces. Aesthetic fix for base I-Channels also

Underware 2.0 now also released!!

Great having some cleanly installed underwater under your desk. The profile is ok, a bit crowded for printing with the app. Had to print the cuffs using the Fusion 360 files available on Printables.

I like the way you put the powerstrip. Can I get the model file of the power strip cuff you used?

This is what you really want: https://makerworld.com/en/collections/2405689 This incorporates the powerstrip and dozens of other solutions in one file - super easy to adjust every single parameter! (Black Jack is involved in making the new range of Underware!)

Just using the little screws in the set? These screw into the multiboard, then this slots into it!

Hey, good job! What have you used to cover the screws?

There's nothing covering the screws :) all screws are in multiboard mountpoints and the little "dots" where screws could be are multiboard pegs which make multiboard itself be offset about 8mm from the "wall"

I am incredibly pleased. Like Katie, I hate messy cables under my desk. This system was perfect. Everything printed easily, both in PLA and PETG, where I wanted a little more strength. I am very impressed and looking forward to more accessories being added over time. This is my first attempt at setting up my underware. I'm printing a few more pieces to complete the installation. Thank you, Katie!

Incredible system, and easy to print! So very glad I invested in a faster printer, I had no idea how much time that was going to save me when I started down this road…
