Description

This tester serves two primary functions:

  1. Determining Board Thickness: It helps measure the thickness of IKEA Skadis boards to customize accessories for a perfect friction fit.
  2. Assessing Hook Clearances: By having multiple hook clearances available, it allows for better estimation of how firmly an accessory will grip the board. This can help decide if two variants are needed for different board thicknesses.

I created four testers, each consisting of a pair of cubes. Each cube has four sides with hooks of varying clearances engraved on the top. The first range is from 4.6mm to 4.9mm, and the second range is from 5.0mm to 5.3mm. These cubes are available in versions with two and three hooks.

All profiles include both hook variants on separate build plates as well as on a combined plate. The testers can be printed in one or two colors.

Hey friends! I’m doing this purely as a passion project in the little free time I have (juggling two full-time jobs and a family). If you have questions, requests, or feedback, feel free to shoot me a DM — I’d love to hear from you when I get the chance. Boosts and support mean the world and help keep this hobby alive — thank you so much!
