Description

I really liked the original part for its simple functionality. However, the artist has since restricted the license after I made my remix, so respect lost.

I wanted my door to be held open a bit more as I often print stuff as I leave for work, or overnight while sleeping. Therefor, my home office tends to get a bit warmer, since the fan in the room is off or AC is set higher while I'm gone, so having the door open a bit more allows a little more air to flow through the chamber while printing PLA and PETG as the room heats up, maintaining a better chamber temperature and improving cooling with longer prints.

I knew it wouldn't be as simple as adding length to the middle, so I had to re-make the model with an arc, while maintaining the hold on the glass door. I came up with this after 3 iterations, which this one now holds the door open about 3.5" or close to 90mm.

Printing with a 0.4 nozzle with the standard "0.20mm Strength" profile works very well as it makes it almost solid walls with a print time of less than 15 minutes. Since it's a complete redesign of the original, it will not fit the door-mounted holder from the original source (credit AchSchieBe for discovering that fact, post print).
