Bambu Spool Desiccant Silica Container

I was looking for a container for silica gel beads. Of the various ones I found I liked the look of the "Silica gel spool container" by gdrag.

The trouble was that it's only 50mm diameter by 50mm height so rattles about like anything in a Bambu spool. Looks lovely though!

I thought that I would treat this a learning opportunity and try to recreate it but at the size I wanted. As gdrag had kindly published the Fusion file I had somewhat of a guide (that I did need on occasion) to help but I did model mine from scratch.

So here is my version. Its 55mm in diameter and 65mm high. It fits my Bambu spools just like I wanted.

I have uploaded a HygrometerCap https://makerworld.com/en/models/546181#profileId-464096 designed specifically to screw onto this container.

I have also added a profile that is slightly narrower at 54mm diameter to suit printed spools.

I have made other versions that click-in or screw into the spool and don't fall out. Look at my other Bambu Spool accessories here.

My model is somewhat parameterised so if you would like different sizes (within limits) drop me a comment or message me and I'll see what I can do.

I was asked by @user_2337609363 if I could make a remix that is 3 spools tall. He keeps his spools stacked 3 high in a 2 gallon bucket with a gamma seal lid. After a few messages back and forth we came up the the “Triple stacked spool version” profile.

I was asked by Lord Kansuke (@user_415482554) to make a half height version. So there is now a profile for that as well.
