Description

Ultimate Nozzle Wiper V2  - with new cutting jig included!

Simple and inexpensive solution to get a perfectly clean nozzle. I have used the ultimate nozzle wiper v1 from the beginning in my print farm, with perfect results when printing a lot of sticky PETG, and now I have improved it further because most of you couldn't get the correct silicone tube. It is now available directly from Bambu Lab.

Improved version - you can now print it from ABS, ASA, PETG, etc. and it will not break! For best results use my “Designer” print profile and the desktop app when slicing, it's already aligned for maximum strength! The correct sized Silicone Tube is now available directly from Bambu Lab, Maker's Supply - check the purchase link of BOM (Bill of Materials) scroll all the way down. Easy assembly! Watch the Youtube tutorial video.

Silicone tube from Bambu Lab, Maker's Supply or Amazon: https://amzn.to/3XQpi7W

-Inner diameter = 8mm

-Outer diameter = 12mm

-Cut to exact length (use the included jig) = 19mm

-Cut approx. 3mm deep into the cross section, offset by 45 degrees (use the included jig)

-Re-use the screw from the original wiper

Very Easy Installation: Watch the Youtube tutorial video

Hi, any updates on that long term review? :D thx in advance. Please put dates in the review so we can keep track and get a sense of how well it works, or doesn't, or when it needs a replacement.

I have a question. I just installed this and used some high temperature rates silicone tube from amazon, located here - https://amzn.to/3ZoRWxY. Question, please. I watched the first print very carefully after installing this. I used blue PETG so I could track what was going on. It appeared that after the first few passes, it worked well, but the clear silicone tube may have melted a bit because I saw a thin clear string from the wiper to the print head. Also, when it finished, the last wipe got stuck on the wiper as shown in the image. My question is, is this expected behavior and have i traded one problem for another? Thanks!

Sorry to hear but that is not normal. The silicone tube shouldn't melt - take it out and inspect it. It might be cheap stuff if it melts. I got mine directly from Bambu Lab Maker's supply and it works since months in my printfarm.

thechnerd, Great design! This does an amazing job of cleaning the print head. I took a close look and it doesn’t look melted. I will run a few more prints and let you know happens. As for the picture, the little poop got caught in one of the cuts of the tubing and fell out on the next print. That hasn’t happened again. Thanks for responding.

The parts printed great. My biggest slowdown was having to order the silicone tubing, but once it arrived the cutting jig made it quick and difficult to screw up. Installing into my X1C went as fast as installing a stock nozzle wiper. All in all a good replacement and I’ll see how it performs for a while.

Any updates? How does it compare to the stock?

It's a bit hard to pin down exactly as my observation is borderline anecdotal, but it may marginally work better than the stock wiper. I did have one instance of a bit of filament get stuck in the middle of the silicone "fingers", but after realizing that was the case and clearing it I haven't had that happen again yet.

I wanted to print this as soon as I discovered it. I printed out the jig in basic PLA and the brackets in translucent PETG (that's all I had for PETG at the moment!) Just waiting on the silicone tube to arrive so that I can install it. The tube arrived and this thing is FANTASTIC! Vastly superior nozzle cleaning than the stock cleaner that came in my X1C! This is a must-have upgrade.

It has the correct dimensions but looks a bit pricey. Did you checked the link for maker supply directly from Bambulab?
