Fidget Slider
Print Profile(1)

Description
It's a fidget slider that has a capture rail to keep it from falling apart. ball bearing make it run smooth and alternating magnet make a snappy sound
you will need:
8x 5mm x 2mm magnets
4x 2.5mm precision steel balls
instructions:
1. print the two parts
2. insert 6 magnets in the base, alternate between N and S (+ - + - + -) and firmly push so it's flush with the surface
3. insert 2 magnets in the cover, alternate between N and S (- +) and firmly push so it's flush with the surface
4. insert 1 steel ball per track in the base, a dab of grease in the ball paths will make it run smooth and keep it in place for the next step
5. line up the cover to the base, carefully lower it, it should snap into place. if you feel the cover bounce off the base, flip it 180 so the + - line up correctly
6. move the cover side to side in the base to “wear in” the two surfaces
the magnets should be enough to keep the two halves together
update (july 7, 2024) - using 2 balls per track gives less resistance to the sliding, so 8x 2.5mm precision steel balls :)
