Description

I do like the Movie Mortal Engines, and I belive one of the McGuffins, was this battery, since it was an intergal part of the movie as it was needed to power the BH Generator, it was the whole point of the movie really…but you barely saw it, and you barely even got any reference 3 short burts of what it was and how it looked.

I talked to a friend of mine, I consider him a friend now, about how i have been asking another person to make it for me, for about almsot 2 years, I belive that first person passed away. Never 1 response from him.
But this now friend took it upon himself to make this for me, for him roughly took 2 hours, blew me away, as I am no graphical aritist or can use f360 or blender to save anyones life.
But he made this for me, and I asked him to put his signature/name what ever on it, as he is the creator of it. He made it non intrusive, but on both parts.

But I am the owner of this model, so I have the rights to it. I can do with it as I please (plus he didnt want it anyways he said)

I Printed this on My Bambu X1-Carbon…With:

  1. Creality - Carbon Fiber it will prob work with any carbon fiber, or any PLA prob ABS too. I chose CF this so I can have it as durable as possible without shrinkage, and the ability to have paint adhear, and make it look either old or damaged as needed.
  2. NO SUPPORTS - I dont know how he did it but he was able to make the model, and not use supports anywhere. Which kinda threw me. It printed very cleanly.
  3. I sped up the bottom part of the print, so the bottom looks, well screwed up, I printed it as fast as I could so I can get the thing assembled, and tested. I would print it at a slower speed to resolve the stringing, and uglyness to the print.
  4. The scale itself, it set at as specified size, yes the original is bigger, as I/WE couldnt determin at the starting point what the size was, till I printed out one then we cause Hugo(the actor) holding one up, as he is 6ft + and Iam 6'3 myself, I got the general size as you can see. You can scale it to what you want, but the size I think is perfect. But to each their own.
  5. It should be able to house electronics, LR44 or even CR2032's as a battery and an led and a clear tube is needed.
  6. We both couldnt figure out if the top bars area were blacked out, or had a sheath in it, or if the tube did, so we left this open for interpretation, instead of being locked into 1 thing.
  7. Bottom Base Screws into the top cage? bars? Very decurely, and doesnt rattle or there of, with my CF, it may vary from Filament to Filament, due to shrinkage and/or expansion. But at the scale i put it at for my CF it works perfectly.
  8. Now yes, this model WILL vary from the original, but as the movie said they got them from all over the world, and each are a little different, I/WE took artistic lic in this aspect, and made one that they may have had from an area, there are little difference between the movie prop, and mine, but we never know what the other 11 looked like with clean 'n clear pictures, anywhere, so, this I am putting it as one of the ones we could never see in the background either clearly or at all. Take that as you will.

All in all, I love this model, one of my first, I guess you can say custom models that is actually mine, that I can call mine, and do with what I please.

Please enjoy this Model, and I hope to see it out in the 'verse somewhere…and would love to see pictures in other filaments as well.
