Description

This is an ammunition box for 223, 556 rounds. The rounds can be stored individually or as strips of ten. The lid has a snap device.

I made a new V2 version with a stronger lid. It is a little bit smaller (no strip support):

Strength Issue:The top piece sides need to be stronger due to the tight fit when removing the top piece from the bottom. overall the print is solid just that minor issue. Great work 👍🏾

Thanks! I'm working on a new version at the moment. I will try a 1,6 mm instead of the 1,2 mm wall.

super nice finish on these. excellent for for the lid. super tight but put in on and off 20x and it's perfect. I did have a bit of lifting on the edges as the bottom doesn't sit perfectly flat on the 2 I printed. very minimal.

I had no problems with PLA. If you use PETG you should use a brim, or the "add primitive" function of the slicer. There you can put discs on the edges.

Works great. A little tight on the lid but it works perfect.

A friend of mine has 308, maybe I will make a box for 308 too.

that would be so great. the fact alone that the tips go down make these battle boxes outstanding. they are perfect for the range and it hunting. my next step is going to be to learn to design prints. I’m sure this will take time to get good at but I think it will be worth the effort

Hi, some sort of ammo are sold with this stripes. You can use them for a speedloader, but you don' t need them for the box.

I found a file of one and it works great. Thanks! I then printed a bunch of perfect sized 223 and filled the box for a display :)

Boxes from which you can use strippers clips are surprisingly uncommon

Came out perfect. Others mentioned the lid being tight. The first few times you put it on, start the lid at an angle rather than trying to put it on square to the base container. After a few on/offs, it’ll fit perfectly. 😁
