Description

 Updated Oct25

As requested I've added a simpler, windowless treat container that doesn't require assembly. Despite being smaller it has the same internal volume as the standard container and is well suited to the beaks of medium sized parrots.

These parts are needed to make the treat container and cage mount for my series of parrot maze puzzles. You only need to print these once as they can be used with any of the mazes.

Printing and Assembly

All parts print without support. Printcage_mount_nut.stl with 100% infill for extra strength.

Choose a bright colour for the treat container and use the same colour to denote the exit of the maze puzzles, this may assist your parrot in working out the goal of each puzzle.

It's a good idea to print a clear section in the middle of the treat container, this will allow some light in so your bird can better see the treats inside!

You'll need small piece of clear plastic to make the window in the treat container, discarded packaging is a good source for this. Once you've cut the plastic down to size it is held in place with treat_container_window_nut.stl.

Once finished the treat container should look something like this:

The cut out in the nut is designed to slot through a bar of your bird's cage, then when the nut is tightened in place the toy is attached securely. This can be attached to either horizontal or vertical bars.

Filament

I use Filamentive's excellent recycled filaments (I have no affiliation):

Plus some random cheap blue stuff from Amazon
