Description

Updates:

08-11-2023 - Added more space so the cables of the full hotend assembly can fit as intended.

A Medium sized accessory box aimed to fit all of the accessories that is included with the printer aswell as 4 complete hotend assemblies and more.

The lid is a slide on design because i wanted something that can stand open without taking up too much space but still be able to close and be put away. The lid can slide on the underside of the box to get it out of the way fully which makes the box take up way less space compared to a normal box.

The lid has the bambu logo engraved for painting, it is invisible until you start painting. A untested painted version will be available to print for the ams users.

I printed mine with white clas ohlson pla.

It fits:

4 Dual purpose slots for either complete hotends or non complete hotends.

1 Bambu printing adhesive

4 nozzle wipers

A lot of miscellaneous stuff including all of the included bags of stuff.

Printed in Wood PLA with green and black PLA accents. Really no complaints. Perfect fit for Bambu's supplied parts.

Great design! Would love to see a version that can support the full hot end assembly too.

Thank you! 😄 I did design the hotends slots to fit both full and non full hotend assemblies but now that I think about it there might not be enough space for the cables.. this is a horrible oversight on my part, really sorry! Will fix this after work 😬

yeah the cables are the issue, they'll get crushed due to the orientation of the hotend unfortunately!

works as advertised. But print quality of the bottom part needs some improvement. Model corner meshes do show artifacts.

Yeah sadly that is because of the .stl format, only way to fix it is to export in .3mf. Thanks for bringing this up might fix this in the future! :)

When you do the conversion from your CAD-model to STL, you may have an option to increment the mesh resolution. This may solve the problem with the rounded corner artifacts.

Thank you very much! What more would you like a large option to fit? :)

Honestly, I would just like more of the same for the most part. That would allow me to consolidate the small and medium into one. One thing I haven't been able to store in these are spare PTFE tubes due to their size. By no means is this a complaint, though. I love these boxes very much! (No glue or hinges is great!) Thank you!

The hot end locations are a bit tight for my liking. It feels like I might bend the hot end on removal, but otherwise printed just fine. I'm sure Bambu lab is happy with with model, as it made me buy the their glue to satisfy my OCD for filling that compartment :)

I really like the clean, simple and functional design. Everything has a neat fit. The lid just slides over and I use a simple rubber band to secure it. Maybe using some tiny magnets could keep the lid in place.

An amazingly designed piece! love it! Only thing i would love, maybe to print the letters seperarely and then glue in as it would take less time and filament waste.
