Quick Guide to changing filament~
Have some paper to push away extruded filament.
When the MK3 jogs after a change it will spit out another inch, so I follow it with paper until it starts to move back down. Doing this has given great, repeatable results.
I printed a plate of each, since the waste with the color swap is the same if I print one or a full plate. I have a whole family that loves Harry Potter, also my kids and I hide crafted items around the theme parks for random people to find, so I thought whatever we have left of these would be something people would be happy to find.
I'm having issues with the Hufflepuff mark. The name scroll is not printing out correctly on the right side. What settings are the best for that area? I've tried the .08 profile as well the others and I'm still having issues.
.4 nozzle and no scaling. It shows as an issue in the preview even before trying to print. I didn't realize there was a problem until I printed the first one. Seems weird.
Printed well with black Inland PLA and green Bambi Basic PLA. Might be a bit on the thicker side for a book mark but I don't think it'll hurt the spines of our books and my Slytherin son will love it either way. Now if I could just get him to stop speaking parseltongue at the dinner table...
I have to reprint tomorrow bc gryfindor won’t print right for me.. keep missing the “r” I try 0.12 layer height. but I’m using a 0.4nozzle not sure if that is the reason why .. syltherin print great.. maybe it choosing the house for me
