This is an all new design to keep equipment together - a circular spinning carabiner alternative - and it’s super strong! One of my test prints weighing only 3.84 grams was able to hold 19.77 kg just fine! That is 5100 times it’s own weight!! (First between 20-23 kg it broke.)

To open the Twisty Multi Clip, you spin the 2 parts until the opening appears. To close and lock, simply spin again half way round.

Have fun trying this new model when attaching things to your backpack for your next hike

Overview

It comes in multiple sizes (10 for now) to fit different needs! This sizing in the filenames follows this model: “X-Y …”

  • (X. - fx. 15) - The inner diameter in mm
  • (Y - fx. 6) - The opening width

Besides sizes, the model also comes in 3 differet styles for now:

  • Smooth (looks great when chaning colors halfway through the print)
  • Grip (easier to spin around due to the grip)
  • Knurled (great grip and looks)

Assembly

It prints easily in 2 parts. To assemble:

  1. Put one part on top of the other, with the opening 90 degrees angled
  2. Spin the rings around to lock them together

Printed on A1M. Very tight fit - took a lot of effort to assemble/spin together.

Thanks for sharing your print. Let's figure it out 😊 One thing can be print 'blobs' that prevent it from spinning. Another thing can be if the small notch opposite the opening on the bottom part is a little too thick - try to sand it down a little. That part is ment to flex - to lock it in place when closed. But in the first try, it might need a little 'convincing' 😉 Press them firmly together and spin. Please share your results here again. If it's too tight, a looser version could come 👍🏼

Ah I see that you figured it out. Nice! 😄 The tight fit, is to make the locking-mechanism when closed. It should just be in the beginning of usage - get's easier over time 👍🏼
