This is a remix of Kole's Tesla Gen 3 Wall Connector bracket HERE
I've include my STEP files.
Changes made:
- Model completely re-drawn in cad, higher polygon count and more symmetrical.
- NO SUPPORTS NEEDED! - Tapered the interference fit so no supports are required.
- Countersunk screws for wall half of bracket instead of recessed hole.
- 4mm clearance from wall, prevents scratching when removing charger
- Only made screw holes solid with modifiers, not the interference edges as per Kole's original. I found that 4 perimeters with 20% infill is plenty strong.
Hardware required:
- 6G x 12mm Sheet metal tappers - file 1mm of sharp tip off, for mounting charger half of bracket. Link to Bunnings screws HERE
- 8g 38mm - countersunk screws for wall half of bracket. Many sizes will fit, hole is M5. Link to Bunnings screws HERE
Print Settings:
- I printed on a Prusa MK3s+
- 0.4mm nozzle
- 0.3mm Layer height
- 20% infill
- PETG for strength and heat resistance
- 4 perimeters, 4 layers top and bottom
- Added solid infill modifiers to screw holes for strength. See screenshot. You can load the 3mf file for a closer look.
- I increased the bed temp to 90 degrees. Mainly because this print takes up the whole bed and I didn't want any temperature roll-off towards the edges.
- 372.52 grams of filament ~15hr print time at standard speed
Thanks to Kole for the inspiration with his original model.
