Hi there!

I wanted to make a retropi console for my cousin's daughter, for the cheapest price I could. So I altered this case to fit a Pi zero and made other alterations to fit the required components. I altered the model to reduce supports, and added new openings for the cables and electronics. I used retropi as the software.

She loves it and has been playing it a lot ! Along with her dad 😁

It cost me around $85 Australian, using some cheap parts from AliExpress. I had the USB hub and heatsyncs already.

I pulled a USB hub apart to fit into the case for the controllers and hot glued it in place. This is connected with the white cable in the picture by running the cable outside the case and plugs into the rear. I tried a few different things, but ultimately ran out of time, so this was the best solution. I made some post alterations to the print to make this work (which you see in the pictures), but I've altered the model to reflect these changes.

I soldered in the pi headers to connect the fan.

Make sure to print this out in PETG, to remove any risk of fire ! This risk is really low, but I guess it isn't zero. The Body and the Outer Cap pieces need some supports, but I have reduced these as much as I could in the model design

I didn't get many pictures of the inside before gifting it, so let me know if you need me to draw a diagram if you can't figure out how all the cables go together.
