FilaFlinger: The 3D Printing Challenge

Welcome to FilaFlinger, the exciting 3D printing game where you transform filament purge pieces into fun and engaging gameplay. Whether you're a seasoned maker or new to 3D printing, FilaFlinger offers a delightful challenge for all. The objective is simple: score 5 points by skillfully flinging filament purge pieces through a hoop using the provided flinger. With multiple game modes ranging from Easy to Hard, as well as a Timed Solo Mode, there’s a level of play for everyone. FilaFlinger is not only fun but also portable and easy to assemble and disassemble, making it perfect for game nights or maker meetups, both indoors and outdoors.

Game Modes:

1. Easy Mode: Score a point by flinging a filament purge piece through the hoop using the flinger.
2. Hard Mode: Win by making five successful shots in a row.
3. Timed Solo Mode: Achieve five successful shots in a row in the shortest time possible. Post a video of your time in the comments. If it is the fastest, your name and time will be in this description.

Game Setup:

1. Draw a Purge Piece: Each player draws a filament purge piece from a bucket of failed prints. This piece will be used for the entire game.

1. Attach the Hoop:
   • Insert the hoop through the slot in the back of the base.

   • Push down firmly to ensure stability.

     

2. Assemble the Flinger:
   • Position the flinger mechanism vertically with the 90-degree angle at the top.

   • Slide it into place.

     

Playing the Game:

• Easy Mode: Use the flinger to fling your purge piece through the hoop. Each successful shot earns a point. The first player to 5 points wins.
• Medium Mode: Make five consecutive successful shots to win. Missing a shot means starting your streak over.
• Hard Mode: Drop the purge piece onto the flinger. If it misses, it counts as a turn.
• Timed Solo Mode: Set a timer and make five successful shots in a row as quickly as possible.

Disassembly Instructions:

1. Remove the Flinger:
   • Lift the base, turning the flinger piece to a vertical position.
   • Lift it out to remove.
2. Remove the Hoop:
   • Pull the hoop away from the base.
   • With a little force, it should come out easily.

Portability: FilaFlinger is designed for portability. It can be assembled and disassembled with ease, making it convenient to take the game with you wherever you go.

Notice: Tolerances need to be good for this print. Scale the hoop down by a millimeter if you are not confident in your printer
