This storage bin is dimensioned to take a full pack of 76mm long Q-tips.
All parts are 3D printed and assembly is pretty straightforward and takes about 1 minute:
- for the bin itself place the spring into its recess and hook it onto the pin, then click the cover plate into place
- the lid only requires for the push-button to be pressed into its chamber
- finally, join the bin and lid with two hinge pins
Also see included images.
Operating the bin can be done with one hand, as pushing the button will pop the lid after which it can be fully opened.
The base version has all required parts on 1 printbed for a one-color-print, and I also added a coloured 'Cotton-Swab'-version with several texts and decals.
With that one the indicated amounts on the inside cover plate are somewhat accurate.
Note: as usual, any stereo images are of the cross-eyed type.

Update 28-06-2024:
I cleared geometry of revision numbers in several parts that I used during the development process.
Also because of slight interference during the first degrees of opening I increased the clearance between the rear edges of the bin and lid.
