Description

Update:

Couple of people mentioned they had issues with the strength. I changed the model slightly and made it stronger. Still just a light version to have a light jacket or a hat on it. I designed a heavy duty version which one can be downloaded here → https://makerworld.com/en/models/2534204-bow-heavy-duty-hanger#profileId-2789286

I have a hook on my B Pillar for the jacket but then it is covering the cars for the shoulder check.

I made this hook for the headrest and it resolves my issue

Print at least in PETG for heat resistance in the summer time. If you have adhesion issues, I suggest a brim.

Testet on VW Jetta and GMC Yukon

printed ok. there is a seem that goes down the middle. It shouldn't be a problem for me though, I made the hook for my hat. went back in Bambu studio and looked at the slices and I noticed the middle is gap filler. I will try printing with Arachne instead of classic next time, it gets rid of the gap fill line. I printed it with Pro PCTG. the seat is in a Honda Odyssey

interesting. do you think making the model one layer thicker will improve the little gap?

Maybe. the layers went all the way across, just had the gap in the middle. I was thinking if one didn't want to use the Arachne walls, they could change the width of the walls in there slicer to better fit the total width of the model and still use classic. However, That is basically what Arachne does though, it adjusts the width of the walls in order to get rid of gaps. If you choose to make the model thicker in order to make the walls fit you would still need to look at the wall width settings and add them together in order to get the correct width. I personally think it's perfect thickness, but I'm only hanging a light weight hat from it. anything heavier might benefit from a thicker model. I printed this in order to use while on vacation in very hot and humid weather and it held out great. also it fits my Honda Pilot as well.

Printed well in Polymaker ASA with a 5mm brim. It didn't fit my wife's Subaru headrest, the posts seem thicker than other brands, but I will find a use for these. Only thing in the profile that I would change when I print again is adding a 0.3 x 0.3 fuzzy skin for looks.

Actually, I think my original print must has had some shrinkage. After printing in PETG it fit just fine. In ASA, I'd recommend taking the whole headrest off, the hook snapped for me at a layer line, which is more of an issue on my end and ASA than the model.

go one layer step higher in the slicer. check if the slicer is connecting them and if yes is your filament calibrated? new design comes in two weeks.
