Created for use in a very small space
The remixes shorten the original system
A space saver, but a disadvantage
When the basket is clogged, you will probably have to change the whole part

Of course, you'll have to create your own joint. Silicone, PVC glue - it's up to you to choose your best option.
I'd still recommend using silicone though as it will be possible to remove the piece without breaking everything.
