Description

UPDATE:

If y'all run into issues alignin' that rear tube with the printer's poop exit hole, download the file “POOP DOWN PIPE CENTER” from the raw models, and y'all'll fix that problem right up.

UPGRADE:
After noticing that some of you are experiencing issues with the lower curve of the drainage pipe, I thought of tweaking it in the hopes of solving your problem. The piece you'll need to reprint is named: “Poop Down Pipe Lower.3mf”.

Let me know if this resolves the issue for you. Thanks!

UPDATE:

Hello everyone, following some reports, I have uploaded modified files:

Let's talk about the drawer rails; now you have a right and a left file. Let's talk about the build plate supports; now you have both the right and left ones, available in 3 or 4 plates.

  • If you're looking for an add-on for this dresser, check out this model:

Hello everyone,

My printing space was running out, and I had to find a solution. Also, the Bamboo X1C-style printers are making me hunch over while checking the print progress, especially if you have AMS mounted on the upper glass.

So, I've thought about a drawer unit to place under the printer, designed to elevate it by about 20 cm from the surface. This will allow me to store various tools and adhesives, spare parts, and make it easier to manage the poops produced by the prints.

I printed everything in PETG. The printing parameters are as follows: Walls: 3 perimeters Bottom and Top: 3 perimeters Infill: 10% Layer Height: 0.2 mm.

In the filename, if you find an 'x' followed by a number, that number represents the times you need to print that piece. In the absence of 'x', the piece should be printed only once.

To print everything, it will take about 6 days non-stop, totaling 4 kg of filament.

Here is the material you need to complete the assembly:

You will need 18 magnets and 60 screws as per the link.
Screw M4 12 mm
Magent 8x2 mm

Drawer front:

Poop pipe:

Sliding drawer:

For assembly, follow the letters and numbers marked on the top side of the pieces. To be clear, it's the side where the printer will rest after assembly.

I didn't use glue, but the choice is up to you. I also applied foam strips both on the top and bottom of the drawer unit to prevent it from sliding due to vibrations.

I remain at your disposal, and in the meantime, happy printing to all of us.

Just finished assembly but the poop chute is off the the side (a lot) and to the button (a bit). Is there a chance to modify the middle part so it could fit better? The outer side of the upper part is ~11.5mm from the inner side of the poop chute. The outer side of the top of the upper part is ~2.8mm above the inner side of the poop chute (I assume it should be a bit higher, not sure about that though).

I'm back again, sorry! Can I ask one more thing if it's okay? Have you happened to use my print profile by any chance? 😊 Could you kindly provide me with the measurement from the printer's right side when looking at it from the back? I'm just trying to figure out if I'm being a bit dim or if printers are playing tricks on us! I've double-checked my measurements, and they seem spot on compared to my printer.

I did not use your profile, no. My print profile for this project was 4 walls, 15% gryo infill, 3 bottom, 5 top, 0.2mm height. Maybe my printer is not calibrated? On one hand, the base seems a bit wide as well as it is not a flush fit, on the other everything I have printed is fitting perfectly according to my measurements so I don't know (small and large prints). The measurement from the start of the panel (a bit hard to measure from the right side due to the curve) is 73mm.

Update: 10/10. This build is awesome! Clogs where my fault. Designer, emazzarol, redesigned the poop chute and drawer to help. He is also the one to guide me in the right direction and I was able to fix my poop issue. (Poop chute wasn't closing all the way. Adjusted a mod that was installed and now its working normally.) Can't think him enough! Sturdy and functional. Clogs constantly. Can't do a multi hour multi color print with out it clogging. See pictures of the most recent clog, and the poop that was stuck at the bottom. Confirmed I have the latest chute installed.

Hey buddy, so this isn't the first rodeo I've had with this issue. Taking a gander at your pics and those from other folks, I noticed you guys have a different kind of purge going on – looks more like a yarn ball than a mound. I'm scratching my head trying to figure out what's up with that. Could be the purge volume's gotten smaller, or maybe it's the material type, a lower temp, whatever it is, it ends up being bulkier. So, my guess is the pipe size might be too puny to let it flow freely.

I thought the same thing so I included the poop pictures. I have no Idea why mine is so different. Using Lucyna Kushinada print profile to create the poop. Will test again with default settings. Using new Bambu filament...

I am struggeling with these rails. Drawer slide I got right and left side but the Drower Rails, 12 pieces, looks like all the same. If I watch the video, it seems that something went wrong ? please can you assist ? Looks like right hand side is fine, left hand side, rails do not have the right inlays to fit with the drawer slide. Cheers Marco

Any chance you could post U.S. Amazon links to the needed parts? Or just a list of descriptions on parts needed?

This one took quite some time to print. The actual 3D files were done nicely, but the organization and instructions do need some work. Pay attention to the parts and the build plates you choose to print. There are updated parts, and some parts should be mirrored for a good fit. For instance, the instruction video for the drawer rails only shows one rail. What it fails to show is that the rail has two different sized notches. The position of these notches depends on whether the rail will be on the right or left side. In the part 'Drawer Slide Guide', there are left ones and right ones. The position of the bigger notch will determine if it goes on a right rail or a left rail. I should mention that the Slide Guide should probably best be printed at 100% infill and better than a .20 layer height for the best strength. If they break, it's not the end of the world, though. Individually, the files are all there and labeled correctly. However, if you use the 3mf files with all the parts separated by plates, you have to double-check the parts. The 3mf file I used had all of the same rail. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning if you want a nice, tight fit and no binding. For those of you complaining/asking for US links for the screws, it is NOT hard to copy the description of the screw from the link given into amazon.com. It's very SIMPLE and EASY leg work! The creator already did the bulk of the work DESIGNING the drawers. I have the printer on a standard height desk, and this drawer brings the chamber up to a nice comfortable working height. The extra storage is great!! Though, stacking the AMS on top of the X1 (and on top of a lightbox/air vent) makes it a bit out of my wife's reach, lol. But, it's still manageable and can accommodate 3 more AMS units stacked alongside the whole 'tower' nicely. I haven't printed the accessory bins for the drawers or the bed rack yet. Those are next! I wanted to get the beast of a build off the workbench and reclaim my workspace. Very little noise or vibration so far. I used standard #6 head 3/4" Philips 'wood' screws to mount everything. Yes, there were some cringe-worthy 'splitting' noises as I tightened the screws, but it is all solid. I reinforced all the 'I', 'T', and angle brackets with some CA glue since my $1500 printer will be sitting on top of it, and I have 5 cats. But I don't see this thing moving anywhere, even at Ludicrous speed. (My default .28 layer height speed is 500 mm/s, so yeah, going to Ludicrous Speed certainly nears hitting the 'Plaid Envelope'.) Hehehe.

Hey there! Thanks for sharing these amazing photos. Big thanks, especially for your valuable and rare feedback for us designers and for sharing your tips to get a better result. Just to throw in some numbers, not to brag or seek sympathy: the chest of drawers design took 90 hours, testing, printing, and finishing took 160 hours, and preparing presentation videos and assembling took 60 hours. In the end, exhausted, I caused a bit of chaos during the upload—by then, I was practically fried... LOL

lol, I hear ya. After a looooong project it's always easy to leave the finer points just to be done with it. But being able to go back over time and make edits and with feedback can offset rush to be done.

So good I've done another for my P1. This time I chose PLA throughout. Main panels Sunlu AntiString grey, corner posts Eryone Sparkle Black, rails Bambu Matte Mandarin, hotend inserts Bambu Basic Orange, handles, drawers and chute all the same eSun Morandi Green as the previous one. I found the chute clogged up on the first one but when I removed the final bottom piece that sits over the drawer inside the frame, that never happened again.

Takes A LONG time to print. But it was exactly what I needed to boost the height of my printer up making it more comfortable for me to view into it (I am 6'2", if that helps anyone else). I didn't end up using the poopchute/Poop bin, just used the larger drawer for storage. I wish I thought of trying to print the front half of the drawer twice, to match up and give myself 1 very large/deep drawer to use.

Ciao buddy, looks like a great job, but printing the front of the Poop drawer twice wouldn't work. However, if you want and if you buy me a beer, I could design a drawer suitable for the purpose you have in mind. Let me know!

As I am close to final with printing these, I have another topic :-) I run a X1 and if I place the printer towards the front of the stand, the poop pipe especially the Upper rear poop pipe stands 5mm fare away from the printer itselve. Could you please modify the Upper rear poop pipe ?

In American English: I also have an X1C and I haven't encountered this problem. Are you sure you have positioned the printer correctly? The bottom part has a recessed foot... let me know if you have resolved it. Hugs.

Front and sides fits fine, a bit different in the back ( or on front, depends how the printer stands on the unit )

Great stand for the printer, love the storage and the poop drawer makes things easier for me. Space was not really an issue for me but I wanted to save a few inches either side to get another P1s in the space soon.
