Description

Is your Infinity Cube too Basic for you? Does it keep breaking on you?
Do you want one with more hardware? That you can adjust to be perfect and lock it in with Loctite?

Have you ever looked at your Infinity Cube and wished it had way more Heatset Inserts?

LOOK NO FURTHER!

The Over-Engineered Infinity Cube solves all of these problems and more! Want one with screws? This bad boy is FULL of screws! Each joint can be individually loosened and tightened to suit the user's preferences.

If you are like me and found the durability of the many Infinity Cube designs floating around to be lackluster, that most of the time the print would fail and the cube would fuze into a weird rectangle and never achieve it's goal of becoming a cube, then this model is for you! It prints in 16 individual parts and then you get to install 32 pieces of hardware (16 M3x4x5 Heatset Inserts and 16 M3x16mm SCHS)! If any part of this does happen to break, you can remove just that part and replace it, instead of having to throw the entire cube away.

Because it is printed in many different parts, your ability to customize it's colors is beyond compare! Make every cube a different color of the rainbow! Create a pattern using the colors of the cubes, screws, heatset inserts, and hinges to suit your specific tastes!

The following image contains the order and position required for proper assembly of the Infinity Cube. Following this exactly will allow you to have the best looking & functional cube. It is possible to assemble the cube in such a way that it does not fold correctly, and it is also possible to assemble it so the screws aren't symmetrical. .

Step 3: Insert Joints and Screws

Now that you have laid out all of your cubes, Begin joining them together using the M3x16 SHCS.

Step 4: Tune

Now that you have assembled the cube it's time to tune! Play with it and find the loose joints and tighten them up, and loosen the ones that are too tight! Want it to be smoother? Add some Dry Lube (https://amzn.to/3USO8Bo) to the joints.

This model was created 100% from scratch and is not a remix of any of the other Infinity Cube models out there.

looks amazing. I’m tempted to go half way on the over the top but and try printing the m3 screws instead of metal ones. Have you tried this at all?

I have not tried this because screws are cheap and so are heat-set insets, and I really like the weight they give the fidget. But if that's a thing you want to do go nuts!
