The Kids Math Scale is a fun tool for children to learn basic math.
It uses balance and weight to teach addition and subtraction for numbers up to 10. Kids place different weights on the scale to see and solve math problems.
With its bright colors and easy-to-use design, the Kids Math Scale makes learning math enjoyable for young learners.
The model contains the following printed parts:
Additionally, you will need a 608ZZ bearing to make the beam as accurate as possible. You can purchase this bearing directly from Maker's Supply (see BOM below).
The beam and the numbers should be printed with 100% infill to achieve the correct balance results. Everything is already set up as it should be in the print profile.
Insert the bearing into the middle hole of the beam, making sure to align the bearing and push it in as straight as possible; otherwise, it will not fit all the way in.
Insert the beam into the base pin, but not all the way through. There should be a gap of a few millimeters from the base. The pin is conical to ensure this and to allow proper attachment.
The pin should have enough tolerance to fit into the bearing. It's slightly oversized to compensate for the printer's accuracy. If you encounter any issues, try to sand it down a little.
