This simple thing was the very first model I designed years ago and still works fantastically well (2 of my neighbors use it as well). This was built to keep a raccoon out of my trash bin. The clip works with a friction fit and you just clip it on or off.

Notes:

1. Print laying on the side so that no supports are needed and for improved part strength.
2. This was built for the trash bins that the city of Austin provides but should fit well for other Waste management provided bins too. But you might need to scale the model up or down based on your trash bin.
3. PLA works ok if your bin is primarily in the shade - otherwise use PETG for better heat and UV resistance.
