Description

My son needs braces the upcoming period and, to my surprise, I didn't find any good dental retainer boxes with an insert which could be printed. Therefore I designed this box. It contains:

The box + the lid itself
A separate insert with slits to allow water to get out, which allows for quick and easy cleaning
An optional separate inlay which could be put between the box and the insert, allows water movement between the two.

I also created a model with a closable lid in a cylinder shape. You can find it here:

30-6-2024: small update based on feedback from my son. 2 small handles are added on each side of the insert in order for the insert to be easier to take out of the box.

That should be no problem. The parts are small enough for the build plate of the mini, you just have to rearrange the plates a bit.

The container is nicely made, but I miss that the lid doesn't click into place; now it just sits loosely on top. However, it is still worth a boost! Thanks for sharing.
