Description

The 3D printed NAS cabinet for the Raspberry Pi 5 and Radxa Penta Hat is designed to house up to five 2.5-inch drives, offering an efficient and organized solution for your network-attached storage needs. This cabinet combines functionality with user-friendly features, ensuring optimal performance and easy maintenance.

Key Features:

Active Cooling Fan:

  • Integrated cooling fan specifically positioned to provide active airflow over the disks, ensuring they remain cool and function optimally.

Independent Drive Removal:

  • Each drive can be independently removed using convenient sliders, allowing for easy maintenance and replacement without disturbing other drives.

Accessible Controls:

  • The Raspberry Pi SD card and power switch are accessible from the bottom of the case.
  • Additional slot on the back of the case for installing a network switch, directly connecting to the Raspberry Pi.

Convenient Back Panel:

  • The back panel is designed for easy access to LAN cables and power connections, keeping the front clean and uncluttered.

Front Panel Door:

  • A hinged door on the front panel provides easy access to individual drives, enabling quick swaps and maintenance without needing to disassemble the cabinet.

Cable Management:

  • Dedicated space inside the case for wire strips to improve cable management, keeping the interior organized and tidy.

Anti-Slip Base:

  • Four slots at the bottom of the cabinet allow for the installation of silicone pads. These pads prevent slipping and lift the case slightly to enhance airflow from underneath.

Enhanced Airflow Design:

  • Airflow is a critical feature of this case, with strategic vents and spacing to promote continuous cooling, protecting your drives from overheating and extending their lifespan.

Noctua Fan Controller Slot:

  • An additional slot on the back of the case allows for the installation of a Noctua fan controller, providing advanced fan management options to further optimize cooling and noise levels.

This cabinet not only provides a robust and reliable housing for your NAS setup but also ensures that maintenance and upgrades are straightforward. The thoughtful design considerations like independent drive removal, accessible controls, and effective cooling make it an ideal choice for anyone looking to build a Raspberry Pi-based NAS.
